Tuesday Morning Home Group

These meetings are held at  Mary and David Bishop’s home—Trelowarth, Watergate Lane, St Mabyn between 10-12. They recommenced on 24/1/17 to discuss ‘Changes in relationships’
On 31/1/17 the focus will be on ‘ how to confront injustices in the world’ while on 7/2/17 the             topic will be about caring for our planet ‘ Treading lightly on the Earth’
This will be followed by the Lent Course to be led by Rev Dave Elkington.
Dates are 28th Feb; 7th March ; 14th March; 21st March ; 28th March; 4th April

Samara’s Aid Appeal

Samara’s Aid Appeal  to help refugees ----especially children, who are ill equipped to face the very cold winter weather in Syria eg wearing only a t –shirt, shorts and flip flops
As a result of collections at the Harvest Lunch, Seasonal Concerts and Crib Service almost £1000 has been raised to help Samara with transport and purchase of medical equipment.
A big thank you to everyone who gave so generously.
Also it is hoped to send a parcel of knitted items to Samara by the end of February

St Petroc’s Appeal

In response to a sermon by Jem Thorold –Vicar of Newquay –describing homeless people who sleep in the doorway of his Church - it was decided to collect  warm  clothing and new socks / underwear to be donated to St Petroc’s Society . A big thank you to   all who contributed to this ‘Reverse Advent Challenge’ , which resulted in the collection of several large bags of good clothing.
