Breakfast coffee morning

Just a massive thank you to everyone who contributed to the breakfast coffee morning / bring and buy today. There was a wonderful selection of cakes, goodies, Jenny's bacon baps, biscuits and some glorious plants and flowers to buy!

There was an amazing atmosphere in the church and we also had the music group playing for us for a short time. (They will be back soon.....!)

What was very lovely was the chance to catch up with old friends and also welcome in some new faces to the village, not to mention a visit from the local scout group for a take away lunch before they started their week end camp, and also some local children.

A great morning! Thank you again

P.S. we did raise about £275 for the church today too....

Coffee and refreshments in the church.

Coffee and refreshments in the church. Saturday 6th June 10am - 12noon. Come along and enjoy a coffee and a catch up. Bacon sandwiches, toasted teacakes and cakes, what's not to like?! There will also be a small Bring and Buy as we look to raise £3,000 for the annual insurance for the church.

Like all organisations, the lack of attendance and opportunity to fundraise has hit all of our local churches over the past 18 months. Insurance for the church building is a huge amount to find and not something that we can 'skimp' on.  St Tudy church was struck by lighting earlier this year, causing considerable damage and repairs to be undertaken. If you feel that you can help in anyway with this event, or have items to donate, please contact Jan Fisher 01208 852182. JF

Picnic on the green

Picnic on the Green. Sunday 30th May 12noon to 2pm. Please bring your own blanket / chairs and picnic! We hope to enjoy time together as we reflect back on the past year on Trinity Sunday, on the Green at St Mabyn. Groups of 6 and social distancing will still apply, but we hope to sing if we can find our voices once again. JF

Good news

Some long awaited Good News, the church will resume services on Palm Sunday,  28th March for Holy Communion at 10am

Easter services will be confirmed shortly but we are expecting a service on Good Friday and Easter Sunday which is wonderful.

As before, all mask, hand gel and social distancing rules will apply. For the time being until hospitality reopens, there will unfortunately be no coffee after services but again, this will resume asap dependent on Government guidelines.

Whilst writing, please note the date for the church APCM is 6.30pm on line, Monday 12th April. This is planned for a zoom meeting under the instruction of the Diocese and details will be available next month

Sunday worship has been suspended

In the light of the latest lockdown and the Government's advice to stay at home, we regret to say that Sunday worship has been suspended by the PCC until 28th February at the earliest. These decisions have been taken by Churchwardens and Church Council members purely on the basis of people's safety. Please contact the Rector David Seymour if you would like to be included to receive weekly worship material on 01208 850088.

We continue to pray for our communities and frontline workers at this difficult time.
For any personal prayer requests for the sick or anything that may be troubling you, please contact secretary Jan Fisher 01208 852182
